Can't walk but want to earn. Ideas?

Just looking for a bit of advice.
I can no longer hold down a job due to an autoimmune problem.
I have full use of brain and arms. I have a computer and spare time. But my mobility is seriously compromised.
MY O/H and I have done a money makeover and we can manage the basics but it would be useful to have an extra £25-£50 per week coming in 'just in case'.
So what would you lovely people recommend. What has worked as a modest additional earner for you? I have looked at some suggestions in the sticky which sound interesting.
Please bear in mind that anything would have to be home-based.
Thank you.
:)

When you looked at the sticky, anything particularly sounded interesting ?
You could do things like Swagbucks, Clixsense, Neobux to earn around £10-15 a week but sometimes they are bit tedious and surveys are mostly about demographics.

There are some things like below, I believe it is more money but also a bit more work to get into it.

Have you thought about starting a business? Are you on facebook? Join a few craft sites and see if anything interests you.

I was just thinking can you think of careers you can get into from home to? Website design is one where it's all computer based and you can build up a clients from online advertising....have a good think what interests you, you really can make money out of anything.

I did swagbucks for a while (one of the earning sites) you can make a fair amount but for the hours you put in it's really not worth it..

I think Web Search Evaluation sounds perfect for you. I have been doing this from home for 8 years and earn between £500 and £800 part time per month depending on how many hours I do. Some people do it full time.

Plenty of threads about it on here. Search for Leapforce, Lionbridge or Appen.

    Some interesting suggestions.
Many thanks for all your input.

Web Search Evaluation sounds interesting but I am worried at just how 'tech savvy' I really am. Also, it mentions having a degree. I only did two years of mine (never completed it as my son was born needing major heart surgery). But I will look into it further.

Survey sites sound like something I would definitely have time on my hands for. I don't mind tedious. Years ago I used to pack After Eight mints for 5hrs a day. Now THAT was tedious. LOL!

Never looked into website design but will certainly do some research on what it entails.

    Once again, thank you. :)

Have you explored the option of advice from a disability charity? National or local for suggestions, maybe face to face, mentoring etc? They may have angles to earning that you hadn't thought of. I know disability advisers in jobcentres vary so much, but it is an option, and they do usually know of grants etc. :)
Remember when you judge someone, it does not define them ... You define yourself :j

If you are clever enough to get a place on a degree level course and can navigate a web forum, like MSE, you will be fine. :)

They just want a good general level of education, which I can see you have from your style of writing on here (spelling etc)

Matched betting, see the MSE forum.

Should comfortably be able to make £££/mth with a little patience and common sense.

You could write reviews, either using a review site or your own blog. You could also create your own blog to write about a topic of interest.

If you don't know anything about website design it's probably not for you. Creating one website for your own use you may be fine - platforms like Wordpress are an option where you have plugins and existing themes to use. But to do that as a business, you need to know about graphics, layouts, font use, colour use etc. You may also need to be able to create graphics and edit photos.

If you're building the websites too then you'll need coding knowledge (and more than HTML/CSS and they take time to learn by themselves). You'll need to know about hosting and SEO and marketing.

It's certainly not something you can learn overnight and just jump into.

You are correct, that's why I mentioned it as a career rather then a job ~ Just thinking as OP is at home, not working it seems perfect time to think about a new career move.

Of course I never said it would be easy but you have time on your hands to start a new and I know a few web designers who are self taught.

Book keeping is another one if I think of anyone I'll post back
