First time buyers advice

Looking to take small morgage.

Deposit: 8000 (2000 in bank 6 in cash which i can pay into bank anyday)
Apartment cost: 45000

Credit score kinda bad.
My: Your Score 139 Very Poor
Electoral Roll: Confirmed at Present
3 x Credit agreement all Up to Date
3 x Credit agreement Settled (1 of them paid today to Lowell 355 from 735 PARTIAL SETTLEMENT)
2 x Credit card but fully paid off. (1 of them paid today to Virgin media 135 pounds)
(no remaining dept)

I earn 14k per year. 36h a week contract from 2 years.

Wife: Your Score 319 Poor
1 x Credit agreement Settled
1 x Credit agreement In Arrears
1 x Credit agreement Up to Date
(No credit cards)
(no remaining dept)

Earning: 12k per year on 32h per week contract.

We are looking for morgage but i think we have low chances of getting it. Any chance on advise do we have even a chance of getting anything? Or just rent :)

    Sorry I don't know about your chances but you'd have to put that cash in the bank at least 3 months before buying a house or you'd have trouble satisfying money laundering requirements. Why isn't it in there now? :o
    I don't know if your salary levels would be considered for a mortgage, it's not my area. However the bad credit history will fade away. The further in the past the better your chances. When was the last default? How long until the settlements drop off your credit report? These are the important factors.
