CCJ sold to DCA

I have a CCJ and the company went into administration and has now stopped trading, I have now received a letter from a DCA telling me the debt is with them and they want to me to contact them to arrange a payment plan.

Can this happen? Can I keep to the terms of my original CCJ, do I have to continue paying if the company no longer trades?

In a word, yes. The administrators of the company who took out the CCJ against you have sold the debt (as they are legally entitled to do) and the new owners of the debt are coming after you for the money.

If you have made arrangements with the court to pay off the CCJ, then those arrangements will stand but the new owners may try and vary them.
