Hi everyone, I hope you all had a lovely weekend!
Thanks for the words of support Igamogam. I’m interested in trying to save up for Christmas 2015 so will see if there are any relevant challenges. (November always comes around so quickly and I’m never prepared).
Thanks Bobarella. Your daily 8 miles puts me to shame! I still can’t walk properly after last week’s run.
Unfortunately the oven element decided to give up the ghost on Friday. Hopefully someone will be out to sort it this evening. We got everything in the freezer that was going out of date so hopefully saved a few £’s.
On Saturday I started to prepare for the move. This will be our 6th move in four years so I’m starting to get the hang of it. I hate the stress of moving. Everything always seems to come down to the last day and takes significantly more time than expected. Well not this time. I have a storage unit secured – after comparing a number of local storage companies I managed to negotiate a great price; half of what we were quoted by the first company. I emptied the spare room and loft and started getting rid of unwanted clothes and possessions. A successful start I hope . . .
On Sunday I had planned to spend the morning at the allotment, but rain stopped play. So instead I made up plenty of beehive frames to keep me going for the next month or so. I’m hoping to head over to the allotment tonight, but I’ll have to see what time I can escape work.
I hope you all have a fantastic Monday and succeed in some serious debt busting this week!Debt as of 18th of February 2016:

I had a really lazy evening yesterday. I kept meaning to update the diary, but instead sat down with a good book for a few hours. I’m a real advocate of making time to just reflect and recharge. I’m always surprised when I hear people talk about how busy they are in a really positive way, like being busy is something to aspire to. I don’t think anyone gets to the end of their lives and wishes they had been busier. Time is something you can never get back. This week take the time to spend a few hours with a loved one. Go for a long walk without a time commitment. Sit outside and watch the stars.
Some people take the fact that I hate being bust to mean that I am lazy. This is simply not the case. I believe in spending my time focusing on moving forwards; spending time with the people I love; spending time genuinely enjoying every moment of my existence. Ok, existential moment over.
The oven was fixed yesterday! Hurray!
Debt update: Today I made progress with the debts. I paid £470.62 off the debt to HSBC and £100.00 off the debt to my father! Signature updated.
I hope the week is going well for you all!Debt as of 18th of February 2016:

We have moved!
Talk about stressful. I thought we had everything sorted out; most of out stuff was boxed and ready to go. It ended up taking all Friday and Saturday to complete the move! All the little bits and pieces ended up filling two vans. Fortunately I managed to negotiate the loan of a van from a friend, so that only cost £10.00 for petrol.
We completed the final check-out this morning. Though we spend all yesterday cleaning the letting agent still felt that additional cleaning was required. Apparently the cooker needed further work; the washing machine should we cleaned inside and the living room carpet needed a spruce up. I'm not sure on the total cost yet, but I'm hoping this will mean we get the majority of our deposit back.
All I keep reminding myself is that the move will help me pay off the debt quicker!
Allotment Update: The onion sets are going in this evening. It's a little later than I would like, but it is progress!
Bee Update: Moved a hive early on Friday morning. I'm looking forward to seeing how they got on in their new location.Debt as of 18th of February 2016:
