Partner is in a panic

Several years ago ( prior to 2008) my partner got into quite a large amount of debt with RBS on a credit card. She offered to repay a set amount each month which RBS flatly refused. She then went to CAB and they handled everything for her (she is dyslexic) and an amount of £5 per month was agreed, which was considerably less than the amount originally offered by her. Since then this debt has been passed from pillar to post by the main debt collection agencies, all the time the agreed amount of £5 per month has been paid. This debt no longer appears on her credit file, and other loans and credit cards have been repaid during that time.
Last week however a letter from Moorcroft arrived saying that they have now taken over the administration of the repayment on behalf of Arrow Global, and that she still owes almost £3500. Also they are committed to agreeing an alternative arrangement, but more worryingly they are threatening that they recommend that their 'client' taking further debt recovery action. Any advice I would be extremely happy to hear as she is beside herself with worry. Thanks in advance.

Write complaining to Moron Croft that nothing has changed and that if they try to pressure her into paying more you will be reporting them to the FCA.

If debt is that old then CCA them as well.

'May' and 'recommend' are words these clowns often use to scare people. Same with 'further action'.

If they meant business they will use words like will take court action.

Maybe worth putting them on the back foot with a CCA request if the card was taken out before April 2007.

Defo do a CCA request, it will benefit her twofold, once the request is made, it automatically puts the account "on hold" until it's been actioned,

    And,

If no agreement, then they will be in trouble, so worthwhile doing it.
