My son has decided not to go back to University after studying for one year. How will this affect his student loan repayment? Will he still only have to pay it back if he gets a job earning over £21,000?

Yes,
it just stays as a normal student loan. Normal repayment applies. As said, give them a ring they are very helpful. Be careful of overpayments, sometimes they happen but eventually they do come and want them back. (and they don't treat them in the same way as the normal loan)£1000 Emergency fund No90 £1000/1000
