Spend over £150
If its a discount code you want, if there are any they will be in the discount vouchers section as they are not allowed to be posted elsewhere. But I don't remember anyone mentioning you can get them.

there's no way around it, anything under £150 is liable for a standard delivery charge of £4.95
if your item is being delivered on the van, not the lorry, and you opt for the saturday delivery, there is a further £2.95 surcharge (which you will be advised about at the till).
the only instances in which i have been able to waiver del charges for a customer is when they have spent a large amount on store items (the till system does not allow us to process argos direct (ie delivery only) and store items in the same transaction), or if the bill comes to £149.99 say, or just a few pence short.
there is always the option that if you are a few pence short of qualifying for free delivery, you can purchase gift vouchers (available in denominations of £1 upwards) to bump you over the price cap.
in defence of argos...
whilst it many seem in many ways that you are over a barrel (you cant take it from store so you HAVE to pay), we phyiscally dont have space in the store warehouse to store such items, even when flat packed, plus there is the health and safety issue of having to move these things around the warehouse etc.
plus, whilst £4.95 might seem steep,i it is surprisingly reasonable compared to many high st companies. ikea for example, has a standard del charge of £30 for the immediate area around the store, be your house next door to the shop, or right on the outskirts of the boundary.
as for codes, to the best of my knowledge, they DONT existknow thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0 -
Order something else to take your order over the min needed for free deliver, then return it to the store.
If you can be bothered doing all that, you must be seriously skint tho! This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

How about going instore and asking? Might sound simple but worked for me.
I wanted to buy 2 slides (the ones on offer for £35) and went instore to buy them. I asked about the size of the box and decided that they were too big to fit in the car with the carseat. I was offered free delivery seeing as I was buying two of them. Order only came up to £70 but staff was very helpfull!
Plead ignorance and go instore to buy it and then ask for assistance?
