Will cooked leg of lamb still be ok ?

Hi,

I cooked a leg of lamb on Thursday night and we had some on friday and had intended curry last night. Last night went pear shaped and the left overs are still in the fridge. Will it still be ok tonight ?
Going to add peppers, onion and some jalfrezi sauce. I also feel I should be making stock and soup but have only ever done this with chicken bones.

Any tips please for great lamb stock soups.

Thanks:)

We froze the remains from Saturday night in preparation for a Shepherds Pie. Not sure I would have kept it from a Thursday but assuming its in the fridge it should be ok.

If it smells OK it probably is and if you cook it in your curry sauce it should kill off any bacteria..

I'd agree that if it smells ok it should be ok, and I probably wouldn't eat it in a sandwich I'd do something that means it's been completely reheated (as suggested by nearlyrich also). I think a lot of people say 3 days and I might be a bit more careful if I was cooking for other people, but I'd risk it for myself - although I'm no expert I've learnt most stuff like this from here really!

I'm interested in your second question as I did a roast lamb leg yesterday and want to make stock too but I've never made stock of any kind and there seem to be several different ways. I've seen people say roast the bones first, but not sure if this just applies to raw bones? This has been roasted but obviously with meat around it not sure whether I should roast them again? Also I don't know whether to put veg in - I've seen some people put raw veg in, some people put no veg in, and one recipe had onions cut in half, with the skin still on, roasted and then put in the pot with the bones. If I use veg then do I chuck it away after or use it? (I'm assuming I wouldn't use onions with the skin still on!)
