i think i know the answer to this but not 100% sure my first post here so be nice please.
Business failed in 2007 and was advised by accountant that BR was the only option i was discharged in 2008 , lived in rented accommodation before and still do now.
My mother died in november last year and with the full knowledge and agreement of my 3 siblings left her house to me, current value 385,000. I however knew nothing about the inheritance until after my mothers death
She also had enough money to cover IHT.
My question is and it is giving me sleepless nights to be honest..... Can my creditors come back 6 years after my discharge and claim back what they were owed?
many were companies but also HMRC and Customs and excise totalled around 57k debt
any advice would be greatly appreciated

They cannot come after you, the debts are gone and the inheritance is yours.

You have been legally discharged from the debts so your creditor's can't claim anything.
The only time it could be claimed is via the OR/trustee claiming it as as after acquired asset, which in turn they can only do if date of death is before you are discharged.
So basically no. The inheritance is yours.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB
