Morning
Well today is the day i finally start to make a massive dent in our debt which total.......£41,489
, how the hell it got to that I don't know, well actually I do, from totally overspending and i hate to admit it but keeping up with the Jones!!!! I am totally and utterly embarrassed about this, however no one actually knows apart from me and hubby and I'm keeping it that way.
I have come to understand over the last few months that life is not about buying things and having the best and I've actually learnt who my friends are and have started weaning out the self obsessed overspending pompous people that i thought were friends, it feels liberating actually.
Hubby is totally on board and we both have the same goal, a new house.
Today will consist of me going through our bulging food cupboards and sorting out food, throwing the stuff that's out of date (embarrassing) and using up all the food before i shop again. I am also going to give supermarket brands a go and start cooking from scratch again which i always use to do. Eating out and take-aways are stopping for a while.
Between us we earn £60K so I am hoping we can make big over-payments and get the debt done. I have been following this site for a while now and know where we are going wrong so this week will look at all areas of our life.
Thanks for reading.
