Be warned, the packs contain buttercup which spreads so quickly and you won't be able to get rid of it.

I learnt this the hard way with some wild flower seeds 2 years ago and the buttercups are everywhere !

2015 Grow Wild England and Wales seed mix:

    Common or lesser knapweed
    Corn or common poppy
    Corn chamomile
    Cornflower
    Corn marigold
    Hedge bedstraw
    Lady's bedstraw
    Meadow buttercup
    Meadowsweet
    Oxeye daisy
    Red campion
    Ribwort plantain

Similar, the other Grow Wild link is expired as all 120,000 packets went so this is a new link.

Meadow buttercup doesn't spread nearly as fast as creeping buttercup, as it tends to do so more by seed rather than vegetatively via spreading rhizomes (which in the case of meadow buttercup are very short), so the buttercups in this mix should be fine. Meadow and bulbous buttercups are more grassland plants, while creeping buttercup Ranuculus repens is much less fussy and will be the one you find invading your flowerbeds.
I'd have said that of the list above, apart from ribwort plantain, red campion and oxeye daisy are the ones most likely to persist over time as they produce large quantities of seed that readily germinate. I have them everywhere in my garden and love them, but then I'm not a fan of regimentation or neatness in gardens.

Sorry to disagree but tell my garden that, I planted free wild seeds from 2 years ago that included meadow buttercup and they have taken over my wildlife garden, they are awful things that I just can't get rid of.

Thank you for the tip on buttercup seeds! I do love the look, but don't want to risk a garden full :)

Do the seeds come separately? If they are all together like last years from the Bumblebee conservation trust then it's a choice between overrun buttercups or not planting anything at all.

I am a little suspicious that as they are asking my age and if anyone between 12 & 25 in the household they may be favoring youngsters with brats
