Didn't quite make the end of the year to get below £40,000, but it will happen by the end of Jan 2018, so not far behind. This year is going to be the 'concentrate on mortgage overpayments' year. Every spare penny is going immediately off the mortgage every week. Feel like we are on the last lap. Going to see if that August 2020 date can be brought forward.Feb 2014 to now
Unsecured debt at highest £56,511/now £9,328 83% paid.
Mortgage £85,342/now £28,846 66% paid
2018 overpayment total - £5,500
Mortgage and debt free by August 20200 -
Now below £40,000. That feels great. First overpayment of the year made yesterday, so I am ahead of my target. Also got an additional ad hoc job, so all the pay from that is going straight into the mortgage debt. Aiming to bring the mortgage and debt free date forward to April 2020, then I will have that summer off.Feb 2014 to now

Oh, that's some incentive to keep on track :T:T:T.Historybuff wrote: »Aiming to bring the mortgage and debt free date forward to April 2020, then I will have that summer off.A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
