Eek! 10k tomorrow! I haven't been well enough to train this week but I have reached my fundraising target so my aim is just to get round and enjoy the day

After being on hold for an hour I finally spoke to the tax office and have, hopefully, resolved the issue with my tax. Just seems to have been a strange glitch at the tax office, even they didn't know what had happened! I'm hoping the correction will go through in time for my salary to be correct at the end of this month. It's proved a tight month so far!

I've lost a pound this week, not sure how but need to focus on some proper dieting!

I'm still exhausted and struggling with my eyes so I have an optician appointment on Monday and a doctors appointment on Weds

Still feeling unsettled and in need of a change. I'm thinking about moving or decorating - or maybe booking a holiday!

Have a brilliant day with your 10k. Good news too that plugging away at the tax office looks like it will pay off this month. Keep on !

I did the 10k - slowish time but 4 minutes faster than last year so I'm ok with that

Day off today. I've been to the optician who said my eyesight is fine but prescribed some drops to help stop them watering all the time, and I also got my hair trimmed whilst I was out

And I've been viewing properties! I viewed a town centre apartment which I liked but would be stretching the budget, and have just viewed a house locally which I really liked - I am hankering after outside space! This could be the change I feel ready for!

Next few years I think? My dream is to live at the seaside but not practical at the moment without changing jobs!

Mad week at work and looks like I'll need to go in for a few hours tomorrow too :(

Dinner out and some bubbles last night for a work related event which was fun and then I am out for a curry tonight with the girls I ran with last weekend

I had a second viewing at one of the houses I looked at and have decided I want to go for it but I am worried about the credit check so not getting too excited yet. I will submit the forms over the weekend then it's fingers crossed!

My eating has been awful this week and I had a bit if a 'moment' last night! A hotel mirror revealed I don't just need to lose a couple of pounds - I am actually fat! Time to get serious about it!

Off for a run now before I go and get my nails done!

Fantastic about house shopping and go you with the running :)

You've reminded me maybe I could do a run tomorrow even if I can't fit it in tonight... so thank you for the motivation!

The house has gone through! I think only my friends on here will understand the double excitement not only of getting the house but passing the credit check and not having to go to my parents for help :) They would've helped or acted as a guarantor but I didn't need it and it shows that my hard work over the last 6 years has paid off. I'm a long way from being debt free but I am finally budgeting and managing my money sensibly and all the old defaults etc must now be off my credit record

So, I get my keys on 20th June so some very busy weeks ahead. I think I've bought every interiors magazine and been in every homeware outlet over the last few days so I'm full of ideas :p. Today I need to start the big clean up and de-clutter (need to get my deposit back!) and start making a master list

I have almost £500 worth of vouchers from promotions at work that I have been squirreling away so they will come in very useful :) as I am full of plans! I have enough saved for moving costs etc but I need a new bed, bedding, and possibly a new sofa as I'm not sure mine will fit - so I need a list and a budget!

    But first - coffee! ☕️
