    Hello

I shall follow your progress as me and OH are hoping to get a new build with HTB too soon.

I have the plan in my head think op mortgage would be best then remortgage after 5 years but we shall see!

That's our plan, and hopefully overpaying in the first 5 years will help us when it comes to remortgaging.

Have you looked into any of the new first time buyer schemes? We might have waited for the ISA one if we had known about it before we got the ball rolling with HTB.

I have been playing about with the mortgage overpayment calculator again and trying to figure out how much we could realistically overpay. I need to get a proper spreadsheet set up [STRIKE]and was wondering if any of my fellow MFW'ers know where I can find a template please?[/STRIKE]

I have found one and just spend over an hour tinkering around with the figures. I think I'm going to become a bit obsessed with this overpyment stuff - and we haven't even moved in yet!:rotfl:
