keeping sliced roast meat warm in slow cooker?

I'm cooking a big roast for the in laws tomorrow. They'll be ten of us in total, so am doing 2 legs of lamb.

I've had an idea that we could cook off the lamb in the morning, carve it and keep it on warm in the slow cooker, thereby freeing up the oven for roast potatoes and Yorkshire puddings

I have either onion gravy granules or out of date (July 14) lamb stock cubes, do you think this would work?

thanks :) I think I'm worried that it will fall apart in the couple of hours that it will be in the SC. I still want it to retain itself in slices

    It worked brilliantly!

The lamb came out of the oven 10:30 and was rested for half an hour. Meanwhile I made a proper gravy from the roasting tin. The sliced lamb went in with the gravy on low for a couple of hours no problem at all

We'll be doing this with the Christmas turkey :)
