02 Network Greater Belfast

Has anyone been experiencing any network issues with O2 in the Belfast area. My wife and I are both receiving texts but cannot call out or send texts. Seems to be bars on the phone, initially thought it was just my phone but when it's the two of us it seems bit odd or a big coincidence. I do have a crap phone though.

It's very poor in many parts of the city with overloaded cells. That's why I moved to EE nine months ago.

A few people in the Armagh area were complaining on FaceBook about this. I believe O2 have a problem that "they are working on"

I would contact O2 and ask.

Still no coverage in our home in the BT5 area (Bloomfield). A simply walk about 500m and we can get a reception. My wife has phoned o2 customer service but according to them there is no problem in the area. We will end up changing providers at this rate, not much point having a mobile phone if you can't use it in your home.

before you change check what the reception is like on other networks .You may be in a blackspot .If there are a lot of trees around that can block the signal.

I know one area in BT67 where you can only get a reception on any network standing on the road not indoors
