4 weekly payments

As i get paid every 4 weeks it can be a bit of a pain when I have monthly direct debits. Do I have the right as a consumer to work out an annaul bill for something and pay every 4 weeks via their online payment site. It would be so much easier for me, the day I get paid, that day to pay all my bills for that 4 week period.

I detest Direct Debits and having to keep track of them

  • I don't know, but I'm sure you could agree with a lot of your providers to take a 4 weekly standing order, I do weekly payments with my electric, and fortnightly with the council tax. It would cost nothing to ask, and I'm sure as long as they get their money it should be okay.

alot of people aint bothered how you pay just as long as the bill is paid by the date you've agreed at. no harm in asking them, you might have to juggle some dates around that are hoing out at un-suitable times at the moment... also bear in mind some companies are now charging for the fact that your not paying via DD. (virgin media charge 5.00....robbing barstools)

Well the administration cahrges if you don't pay by DD is the next thing i think should be investigated, it does not cost VM £5 to process your payments. it didn't in the past so why should it now...?

I paid my council tax last year, every 4 weeks. This year they won't let me. But it's things like that that !!!! up my finances as I am rubbish with money.
