Credit Report Help

Hi folks,
I'm needing some views on my situation.
I'm soon to be applying for my first mortgage, however, I've had some previous blemishes on my credit file that I'm scared will show up. These blemishes happened in 2010 and since then, I've not missed a payment on any account whatsoever. I have one credit card (primarily used to rebuild my poor credit) which has 45% used up. I've not spent on this card for months and pay more than the minimum payment each month. Will my credit problems 5 years ago stop the mortgage application going through? I check my credit report and it still shows red under credit agreements purely for that 2010 mishap.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Depends what the blemishes were. When you finally resolved them and how you resolved them.
Clear your credit card debt with your savings though. As this does nothing to improve your score with any mortgage lender.0 -
Sorry, should have mentioned they happened late 2009 and the account was settled in January 2010. Account has been closed since then. I agree, though, clearing the debt would probably be a good start. It is £1500 but I suppose that doesn't really matter. It's still 45% of the limit used up, right?0

What was the level defaulted debt? Small amounts repaid in 2010 shouldn't be a barrier to a mortgage. Obtain all three credit reports and then make an appointment with an adviser.0
