how are peer to peer loans viewed?

Going to sound like a silly question but we all know what effect payday loans seem to have on things such as mortgage applications but if you get a loan from a peer to peer lender such as ratesetter or zopa would this be viewed as negatively?
Been there, done that and Ebay'd the t shirt.

    Treated as an ordinary loan.
  • Be interesting, when you have folk who say opps I regret getting that payday loan, where's my inflated compo for taking out such an awful thing AND removal of entry from the credit report just lately, wonder what happens when they get the mortgage with the then 'cleaned up' credit report, seriously just not fair as it doesn't happen in other credit products and I think it high time the issue was addressed, the flood gates should be closed and people made to understand the decisions they take, unless of course something awful did happen beyond control

P2P loans are much harder to qualify for than a PDL, you really need a good credit history to get a P2P loan.

Any loan is viewed negatively when applying for a mortgage!
