I have a call from 02895 832634.

So I thought local call but a foreign guy asking for Mrs.******, my surname but I am not a Mrs. Just hung up. Reversed phoned and got a answer machine with same foreign sounding guy saying your call is important. Hung up again No company name given.

Anyone ever get a call from this prefix not from NI??? I am taking its a spam call for one. They did ring earlier but I did not get to the phone in time and they left no answer on machine.

Very possibly chancy. We get a lot saying they are from Microsoft, complete lies, they are scams. Sometimes I string them along for a half hour or so, while they are wasting their time on me, someone else is being left in peace. Other times I tell them to go away, very politely in best Anglo Saxon.

If you have a look here it seems you can buy these 02895 numbers and operate them from your mobile or online http://www.smart-numbers.net/02895-numbers

seems a dodgy setup to me

Thanks everyone. I did Google the number and nothing for it at all.

Good to know you can buy these code now and its not a guarantee local. So I will not pick up. Health Centre should have got my name right and not just a general Mrs.******.
  • 02895 ****** is new Belfast numbers because they were running out of 02890.

It may still be a canvassing / marketing call but it is a normal Belfast number now and not a specialised number.

    Belfast phone numbers

02890 numbers, 02895 numbers and 02896 numbers are all part of the 028 area code for Northern Ireland.

Northern Ireland has had the area code 028 since the year 2000. This is followed by an eight-digit local number.

    Numbers starting with 028 90, 028 95 and 028 96 are for Belfast.

Dave, that is why I answered as it was a local code and I just thought a wrong number. But no, sounded Indian and general Mrs.******, rather the usual, "Hello is that Donna ******?"

I recently moved into a new house in belfast and my code is 96, I guess they've run out of numbers.
