Mortgage application declined after surveyor OVER-valued

If your mortgage advisor is appealing this then you will have to wait on this and he or she may well approach another lender. There is not much you can do until the mortgage advisor comes back to you unless you can raise the cash to buy it without a mortgage.
It does seem as if Santander thinks there is something wrong but there have been a few threads recently with Santander turning down mortgages so maybe their lending criteria has tightened up considerably. I cannot see anything wrong with what you are doing so I expect the mortgage advisor will find someone willing to lend to you but you may have to fork out for another mortgage valuation.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. Thanks for your reply, yes I just need to wait to hear if the appeal has been successful! Its just so frustrating when you have always paid your way, good credit etc and something like this pops up! Keep fingers crossed!0
