I have always used Philips myself but have tried the foil ones which were useless.
Currently using a Speed-XL not sure of the model number as it does not have it on it, possibly HQ58xx, with moving/adjusting heads. It works fairly well but is prone to breaking if dropped. I have had to replace the head unit but not the blades after dropping on a hard floor.
Price range?

My OH has this one and he swears by it, he says it the best shave he has ever had with an electric razor, its almost as close as wet shaving.

I've always used the Panasonic wet/dry shavers and have found them to be excellent both in terms of shave and durability. My current one is a ES-LV95

I bought my DH the Philips AquaTouch AT890/20 Wet & Dry electric shaver, and he really likes it. It's half price at Boots at £49.95:

It is out of stock on Boots.com but you could probably get one in store.0
