How to repair hole in evening dress

Over the past few weeks I’ve been altering a dress ready for this week end. As usual it’s now a last minute panic to do the final bits ie fix the shoulder straps
Shock horror, I picked up the dress from the spare room held it up only to find a hole (size of 50p piece) has appeared. The hole is more or less at the back the right hip. The material is plain black semi sheer georgette, I just don’t know how to repair it without it being too obvious. I do have some small pieces of material left over
Any ideas would be most welcome

without seeing the dress i dont know what is the best thing to do....but here are some suggestions...
you can buy fabric glue ...( dont know if its hole or a rip/hole)
or that mesh stuff that you use for heming ..you just iron it and it sticks to the fabric...
or oyu could do some sort of sequined embelishment that could start on the front/side of the dress and 'snake round to the back to cover the hole ( you could buy heavily sequined/embelished ribbon material etc )
or could you dart the material so it takes out the hole? ( dart the opp side of the dart on the back to make it even hope that makes sense )
sorry i cant be any more help..
but good luckWork to live= not live to work0 -

The hole had a hard puckered edge to it, like the fabric had melted, so I've cut the edge away, so now I've got smooth fabric.
I've got some fabric glue (powdery) stuff and also the mesh hemming stuff but that would make the patched in area stiff I suspect
Like the idea os the sequin snake
I could dart the dress, but it wouldn't fit my hips then0
