Flexi retirement from NHS;how much may I lose?

Hi,I'm a 57 year old nurse hoping to take my NHS pension and then return to work part time in my current role. However, I'm concerned at how much I will lose in the long term by taking my pension this year. I have been advised by a friend not to retire due to possible losses incurred, however,I'm finding it very stressful working full time hours and more (for no additional pay!) and it's taking a toll on my health. Can anyone advise please?.PS,I have been in the NHS Pension Scheme since 2002.I have protected status and will therefore not be transferred to the new 2015 NHS Pension Scheme.
