If the prize varies, would it be better to post this as a separate comp each week?

More people would see it: 251 people thanked the original comp post, but only 95 thanked last week's post....

I personally prefer these threads, can bookmark it and get an email to remind me each week.

I bookmark these too - but the figures suggest that lots of people miss out....

I certainly find it difficult to keep track of the comps on here - I subscribe to threads to get emails - does not thanking indicate that people are missing out? Difficult to prove IMHO.

There are points in favour of both approaches.

A thread like this lets people subscribe so they can get reminded automatically, and is much easier for the OP as they just need to update instead of posting afresh - and other people can update instead if they notice one has been missed.

The only real advantage of posting each week as a new comp is that people who [STRIKE]can't be bothered[/STRIKE] haven't paid attention to the regulars board will see it. But that's their choice.
Leave it to the OP to choose their preferred method.

For anyone who's still subscribed to this thread, I've posted this week's competition as a separate post here

I prefer it like this, 1 post for the same comp, rather than loads of different ones, which need to be moved each week into game over, less work for the board guides.
