Credit building after BR

Hi,
I'm 18 months passed the date I was declared BR, I really want to start building my credit score. My credit file is all up to date with br as the only thing on there, everything else is settled. I did a soft search on credit cards for people with poor credit history but it only gives me a 10% chance of getting two of them and 0% chance for any other.
What can I do to rebuild my credit score if I can't even get one of these awful cards? I've been through the other tips of being on the electoral roll etc so I just have no idea what to do next.
I was hoping in the long run to set up one of the new isa's in the autumn and have enough for a house deposit in another four years. So I really wanted to improve my score in the mean time to help get a mortgage in the future.
Can anyone offer any advice?
Many thanks!

I don't think those soft search things work very well at all! I was getting zero chance but I applied for a capital one card Friday evening, it got referred (maybe because I applied after 5pm) but they sent an email yesterday accepting me :j I also applied for a vanquis card 6 weeks after I was discharged and they accepted me instantly even though my 10 pre bankruptcy accounts were all still marked as unsatisfied defaults.
I'd just apply if I were you, the worst they can do is say no and you can always try again in 6 months.

Lol, I just did the MSE eligibility checker and it said 10% chance for the 3 Aqua cards and zero chance for anything else including the capital one card I just got accepted for!0
