Dear all,
I'm newly AD- after the stress and worry of BR- no IPA- I'm now hoping to rebuild my life.
I just have a couple of questions, which I hope someone kind enough can answer:
1. Is it normal practice for the OR to confirm in writing, or do I just print out from BIS website that I'm AD?
2. If I am due any inheritance or a lottery win (live in hope LOL ) can the OR claim this? or would I have to wait after the 6 years to be clear?
3. How easy is it to now get better energy deals, phone contracts etc-ok or does it only really change post 6 years?
4. I have a co-op cashminder account- is it ok to now upgrade with them now AD & how easy to do so.....feel embarrassed to ask as opened a/c just before BR!
Thanks in advance for your help

1) I'm newly discharged, not got anything but providing print outs from the website has been enough for me when needed.
2) The money would be yours
3) I'm on a great energy deal, we still use loads though
being bankrupt didn't stop me getting a good deal. Can't comment on the other stuff though.
4) They probably won't upgrade the account, but if you need other accounts you can get cash accounts from all the major banks now.0 -
Thanks Egrescrimp.....and congrats on being AD0

Have to agree....I enquired with co-op about an account upgrade a while back..they told me ask again in 6yrs when the bankruptcy falls off my credit files.....I looked elsewhere for a better account! Not quite a newbie as you think
