Graze Boxes.

I have seen an ad on the daily mail offering a free graze box. Has anyone had a free one then purchased any afterwards? If so are they value for money.
Britain is great but Manchester is greater

I got the free one, then the next is a special price, i think £1 off, then 5th box is free.
I enjoyed the snacks, and you can "bin" the ones that you don't like on the sections online, so I did that and loved all 4 snacks I got.
You can change to once a week, once a fortnight, once a month and hold or cancel anytime0 -
I get them for OH to take to work. He always enjoys them and they're better than buying chocolate or crisps. I occasionally get the kids' boxes too.
I think they're quite good value for money. For a while I did make similar boxes myself (in little Ikea plastic tubs which are about the same size) but to get the same wide variety of boxes you have to buy a lot of different ingredients to keep on hand. If you were okay with having the same few variations it's probably cheaper to make them yourself but the initial outlay for a wide variety would be quite high so put me off. You can buy bigger bags of some types now which work out a little better value but OH likes the little tubs.0 -
I think these are a nice idea, they are nicely put together with great attention to detail. But they are also very expensive for what they are! I have to be honest; I normally just eat fresh fruit when I want a snack and at best an apple if I pick it up separately in a mini-supermarket would set me back 50p (but around 10p if I buy a load in advance from a street market) so looking at a Graze box and totting up how much a snack would cost me- and let's face it, few would just have one of the snack boxes at a time, it is very expensive in my experience.
I tried them for a few weeks about 2 years ago and was impressed by the service and variety available but there is no way I could afford them longer term and you can only use one offer code per person, you can't stop the boxes then return later with a different offer code, once you've used it you don't get any more money off again.
Holland and Barratt often have offers off their larger dried fruit and nut and carob/chocolate bags which if your prepared to take the time can be portioned off and put into zip-lock bags or boxes for the week and you can even vary the weight or volume of what your preparing too- just make sure you're aware of the nutrition (sugars, calories, fats...etc)0 -
Yes, they are good value for money and definitely cheaper & healthier than buying a bag of crisps or sweets.0

Works out about 99p per portion (as each box is £3.99) so the value isn't too bad as a lot of the snacks are quite unique.
The Whitworths shots in Tesco are 5 for £2 and offer similar mixed dried fruit snacks http://www.tesco.com/groceries/product/details/?id=285514322 but obviously Graze offers more choices.0 -
I have decided to make my own graze box too. I went to Asda on the week end and found a four compartment box like this for £3
Now I just need to figure out some healthy snacks and calculate a day rate portion size!0
