Hello again, has anybody who has gone bankrupt studied through the ou and were you able to get a grant to help with fees etc. Hubby who will be going bankrupt soon wants to retrain so that when he is able to work will have qualifications in a new job, as due to current health issues can not work the same type of job he had before.
Thanks for any advice.

no idea about the OU, but my husband is a university student on a BSc course and he has had full fees and living allowance paid by Student Loans while we have been (and still are!) BR x0

OU remission of fees is means tested based on your income but remission of fees is usually only available if you do not already have a higher level qualification. If eligible, you might also get a small grant to cover the cost of books and equipment.
If I remember rightly there used to be an eligibility checker on the OU website. If not, call the student support helpline - they are pretty good.0 -
Thank you for the replies there were really useful and helpful.0
