Every week Newcastle BS are coming back for documentation and dragging things out.
Everything they have asked for so far!
- Last 3 months payslips
- p60
- Employment refrences of the last 2 years.
- A full copy of Experian credit report.
And all the basic information like ID Address history etc.
Just seems like they are dragging this out! put in full application on 16/03/15
Not even gone to formal underwriting yet...
Is this typical of them to request this information?

Welcome to the world of the smaller building society where candles and quill pens are still in vogue.

There are quicker lenders, if speed was an issue did you tell your broker before you agreed to apply?I am a Mortgage Adviser

Shame we don't have the "one case one thread" rule on here.
IIRC the OP has been declined by one lender and this is the broker's response, Newcastle BS.I am a mortgage broker. I've had a mortgage with Newcastle BS in the past (when I was a FTB) the process was quite quick from what I remember
I had to give payslips but not a experian credit report or references
This was in 20100 -

Ahhh. So not really in a position to be picky about how quick a lender is or what they request then!
I'm sure the broker has it covered, OP just be patient, if its meant to be it will be.I am a Mortgage Adviser

To be fair, any experience prior to this morning can be irrelevant with lenders.I am a Mortgage Broker

Thank you for your Replies.. I agree would be much easier if there was a one case one thread On here. Contacted our MA and have been told all documentation is satisfactory and with the underwriters should hear something by tomorrow, if not Tuesday!.. So hopefully this is it only 8 weeks of misery lol..0
