bankruptcy bank account

So, I have all the forms completed and paid my fee to the insolvency service to go bankrupts. I haven't lodged the forms yet because I'm at a loss about what bank account to get. My bank have said they will shut my account, Barclays said they cant offer me an account as one of my debts that is getting written off is to them. My mum has offered me one of her bank accounts to lodged in my wages and pay my bills. Does anyone know if i'd be allowed to us her account? is so will it get frozen?
cheers

This will be a breach of the terms and conditions - allowing someone else to use your account - and can result in you mum having the account closed.0 -
If you haven't actually gone to court yet, you can open a Co-op cashminder account but don't tell them you are going BR. If they ask, just say it's for budgeting or something. Co-op are quite good because you get internet banking too. The account shouldn't be frozen if you state on the forms it's your every day account. Mine wasn't :-)SPC 8 (2015) #485 TOTAL: £334.65

I'll speak to the coop tomorrow, its so exhausting going bankrupt. I keep hitting brick walls.0 -
If you have problems with the coop, try FFrees as they don't do credit checks and provide accounts to bankrupts. The free account charges for cash withdrawls but you can have your wages, benefits etc paid in and can setup standing orders (direct debits are coming soon) and you get a visa debit card.0

However, on the day of my BR, I went into Barclays in town and they were great and they allowed me to open up a Cash Card account there and then. I explained the situation and showed them confirmation of my BR from the court I'd got that day.
So, go into Barclays on the day of your BR (or after) and then open an account with them then. As you'd then be BR, you don't really owe them the money anymore - sort of.
Good luck - things will get better.

The only thing with Barclays is that you won't have internet banking until you are discharged. It's up to you if that's an issue or not.
For me, it was pretty much essential so I could keep a close eye but it's personal choice :-)SPC 8 (2015) #485 TOTAL: £334.65

More to the point, as creditors in a BAnkruptcy, they now have access to a share of the debtor's assets.......something the didn't have before BR?No, I don't think all other drivers are idiots......but some are determined to change my mind.......0
