Remortgage Bad Credit

I wondered if anyone could recommend some companies who are happy to loan to people who have a bad credit history?
My mum bought her council house three years ago and had a mortgage with GMAC. She has never faulted from a payment though she has on other debts.
We need to get a new mortgage as her promotional period has expired but she is really gullible and I have just managed to stop her from getting ripped off by an internet mortgage broker...
I can't afford to pay another few hundred quid for advice for her...can anyone help?

look for a fee#s free whole of market broker. you don't need a specialist council house mortgage company so stay away from the TV advertising company. Any reputable broker will be able to help with this. Don't approach companies yourself take advice.I am a Mortgage Adviser
