Exchange to Completion

Hello,
We've exchanged and are now awaiting completion but reading around, there seems to be a lot of conflicting advice. I have done A LOT of reading but just can't get a full answer.
I used a comparison site to organise the building insurance - some say this is good. Some say it's bad. In my experian file it says (underneath searches previously done) something along the lines of, 'this isn't shared with lenders, it may have been generated by a price comparison website'. Is this correct?
I also need to organise the utlities. Am I ok to switch these? This may result in credit searches. Especially if I move broadband.
I won't update the electoral roll until we've moved, though obviously need to inform the council for council tax purposes.
What are the pre-completion checks done now? Employment checks, credit checks? I've paid off my credit card and not used it since we got the offer.
I'm super anxious. It's been an incredibly stressful few months and there's light at the end of the tunnel. I've been so used to having 'now x is done, then y is done' that this feels like the background bit where I don't know what's going on.
I have been a bit goal orientated throughout..........
Thank you for your help.

Act normally. Insurance , utilities , broadband are every day activities. None will impact the mortgage application.0

You can sort utilities/bb etc. out once you are in. Just make sure the buildings insurance is sorted in case of a sods law event.0

You should have organised buildings insurance ready for the exchange date!

Buildings insurance is in place. I sorted that when I was told we had exchanged but used comparison websites to obtain a quote.....0
