Equifax reports im not on electoral register

I've just checked both my Equifax and Experian reports. Experian reports I have a rating of 999 (I know, it's meaningless - but was still very reassuring as I'm hoping to apply for a mortgage over the next few weeks).

Equifax however, scores me as only 414 (fair) and says I am not registered on the Electoral Roll.

Very strange, as I am registered and Experian can see this. In any case I've manually re-registered online using the government website, but I'm concerned this will be a huge factor in my mortgage application.

I can print off my reports, or even give the broker access to my online account so they can verify my history and identity properly but this is a worry.

I will be calling the council tomorrow morning to confirm with them I am definitely registered, but I'd like to know what other steps I should take before making my application.

Thanks in advance :)

I had this recently and had a letter from my council saying g I was auto enrolled.

Equifax were the only ones who didn't have me and my wife as being on the voters role. They said it was just down to the time of year for the databases being reported and it wouldn't effect any applications as he lender would have this info.

Mine is back to normal now.

Here's exactly what they said in the reply......

"We apologise for the inconvenience brought by your electoral roll details. You're registered on the electoral roll at your current address from 2008 but your 2015 registration hasn't been captured by our system same reason why your Electoral Roll details is in red and states as 'NO'.

Please note that when a lender carries out a search on you they will consider your Electoral Roll registration for 2014.

The Electoral Registers are expected to be published in Scotland by 2nd March 2015. If you live in Scotland, we will update your information once the registers have been received from each of the individual local authorities and loaded to our database. We expect this to be completed by the end of March. In the meantime, your 2014 registration will still be considered as up to date."
