Hi guys me and my partner are looking at saving and buying a house, at present I pay for bt and give my partner 300 and my partner pays rent, councel tax, water and elec with gas and insurance, I pay about 5more which I don't mind but is it just worth staying like this with me basically only having my by and gym coming out each month or for us to seta joint account we both pay the same amount then all bills come out of joint, what would help me build my credit up the most for better chance in future of a mortgage

Get a credit card. Use it for your normal regular expenses. Pay it off in full each month so you pay no interest.
If you want to be really smart and micro-manage to the nth degree, find out which CRA your chosen mortgage lender takes information from and make sure your credit card provider supplies information to that same CRA.
