You can see the issue with something that lasts a limited time and is invisible in normal light. It only becomes apparent that you're not protected when it's too late.
Seems a bit gimmicky to me, and I wouldn't rely on it alone, but it has its place. As with helmets and hi-vis I don't see any problem with people being encouraged to use them as long as we don't get into the issues we see of victims of accidents being considered to be partially negligent for choosing not to use them.0 -
