I'm a bit confused

Apologies first of all if this isn't the right place - just tell me and I'll move.
OK so I used to have a Love Film account, and when it was moved to Amazon I noticed the bill was split into two. One portion for Love Film by post, and the second portion to Amazon Prime instant video. With the articles about Prime on the weekly newsletter, I just decided to check what I was entitled to regarding Amazon Prime. Having looked at my account, I'm paying Amazon yearly something like £48.00 for DVD's through the post, and £71.88 for instant video's. So have I got this right, that if I pay £7.12 more per year, I can get Prime with the next day delivery etc. etc.?? If that's so, I think it would be worth my while to cancel the DVD's through the post (which I wouldn't miss), and go for Instant video's plus one day delivery for the year. Also, does anyone know if Prime covers delivery to Amazon lockers??
Many thanks for any help or advice.

I can't speak for the Love Film part but I do know Amazon Prime is £79 a year (or if you're a student there is some sort of deal for 6 months of that) and it does cover free delivery to Amazon lockers, you can chop and change which lockers (ie where they are) to be delivered to too, so you don't have to have the delivered to the same location each time. It is a really good idea IMO, just wish it were free without Prime!

IME the one day deliveries is a bit hit and miss, I've had more 2-5 day deliveries where Prime failed than 1 day deliveries and Amazon do not offer any sort of compensation or Prime extension on your monthly or annual fee if they do fail to deliver on time. But they do let you know when they screw up so you don't end up wasting time travelling to a locker.

Any time I haven't had next day delivery with Prime I have been given an extra month on my Prime sub - most of the time deliveries have been next day though - can't complain!

I complained about a late delivery once and got £3 credit. Had to argue a bit though.

Do you have any tips? I've asked about this more times than I can count always to be told they cannot extend any part of my Prime membership. So I cancelled, it runs out in April.

You are correct, its not worth paying monthly for instant video, when for £7 a year more you can get next day delivery. I have had deliveries to lockers free too but they aren't always next day.

I don't know how much you use instant video though, but be aware there are a lot of things that are available on DVD by post but not on instant. Also watch out as the most recent series of some things is available to buy on instant, but is not free with Prime.
