Quizonaut Payment???

I signed up to Quizonaut last night, today I was checking my emails and found this:
Dear Colin

Thank you for your purchase on Quizonaut.com. Here is your invoice:

Invoice: Product: Open balance: Date: Options:
#305008 5 days premium membership at Quizonaut.com 1 GBP 28/03/2015
To settle your outstanding balance of 1 GBP you need to log in to your account at Wakefield Finance.

CustomerID: 169617

Is this legit? I'm not sure about it, I did get led to a page asking for £1 for 10 bags of haribo and I cancelled out of it, as I didn't want them. This seems shady but I don't want to get charged more (it says they charge £10 for every reminder they send...)

Scare tactics I'm thinking, but still, anyone else seen this?

Yes, I know there is no "R" in the word dream in my username - it was setup in memory of my grandson :A

  • It really wasn't clear that I was signing up to a "premium" service, and it's lucky I was checking my spam mail today...

    Help.

I have just been checking my spam and not only have I the same invoice as punkmuppet but a further one for another £35.

I don't remember when but I do remember reading the Quizonaut post and thought I had ticket no to the Premium account.
We are just resting after two major family health problems. Between hospital visits I did sit comping and could have done anything!
Should I pay and do I have any hope of getting the money back?

Don't pay anything! Never sign up to anything and never give you card details when entering a comp.
:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea

This happened to me too. I didn't even know I was signing up to a premium account or trial of one. I emailed them asking to unsubscribe and they referred me on to their financiers. I emailed the financiers who unsubscribed me and withdrew the original invoice. I made it very clear I was not going to pay them and had no interest in the premium service.

Thanks BlueBelle for your comment it spurred me into action.

Like maicakes I emailed the Quizonaut support email. They referred me to the financiers who have unsubscribed me and cancelled the two invoices they had sent.

I have to say both the Quizonaut and their financiers both acted extremely promptly.
I am so relieved at the outcome. Just shows you need to take care when entering competitions. I did find the posting for Quizonaut comp and there is a warning in red. So everyone take care.

Thank you for your support on here.
