Clothing advice for petite girlfriend

No sure if this is the right place, if not please move.
In need of advice to help my girlfriend for clothes shopping. Only posting as she cried herself to sleep last night after another failed evening of clothes shopping. Being a bloke I don't get all this fashion malarkey, but I know she's in pain so need some help.
The problem is she is petite, at the age of 30 she is forced to buy kids clothes due to her small frame - age 13yo jeans, 12/13yo tops. Because of this she feels less of a woman. On rare occasions she might just get into a 'size 6' if its a small '6'.
So far we've ruled out the following shops: ASOS, Forever 21,
Sometimes: Primark, New Look.
Any advice will be gratefully received. Thanks in advance.

Mrs G isn't quite that small but can and does shop in the children's section. The problem with some kiddy clothes is that the arms are short and the head holes smaller.
What she does quite often is buy a too big adult size and alter it to fit.
Maybe a sewing machine would make a good present for your girlfriend.0 -
Try Boden, Next, John Lewis and House of Fraser - all have petite ranges starting at a size 6.
Boohoo goes down to a size 4 (and very 'adult' clothes, not kiddy ones): http://www.boohoo.com/restofworld/smaller-sizes/icat/smaller-sizes0 -
Topshop, Zara, H&M.
their cutting are relatively slimmer/ smaller. But i don't know if they are too long for her.0 -
I've got a smaller frame at the moment, I am perhaps not as small as your girlfriend (Topshop size 6 tall range is OK for me) but I wonder if your girlfriend has tried visiting larger store? For example with Topshop, size 8 can be the smaller of their sizes in some of the outer London stores yet if you go to the flagship Oxford Circus store they have a size 6 and I've even seen a size 4 before.
I've seen size 4 in All Saints but again only in their flagship store in Spitalfields.
Selfridges is expensive but popular with the Asian market (Chinese) who in general can be very petite and so Selfridges often stock very small sizes such as size 0 and size 00.
It's a bit of a trek if your not in the area so do call ahead and shop mid week mid-day if you can to avoid crowds but I do think what your girlfriend is looking for does exist.0 -
I am a petite size 4 and can also wear age 13 year old clothes. I feel her pain!!! I am 51 and just can't get away with "Hello Kitty" tee-shirts anymore!!
Best places for me are Miss Selfridge for jeans and trousers (their size 4 is a perfect fit for me) and Dorothy Perkins as they offer a petite range in size 4 and size 6. I do get very frustrated when I can't just buy what I really want - I struggle with underwear, tights, pyjamas etc., etc.
She is, however, extremely lucky to have a such a caring boyfriend!! Mine just laughs0 -
TK Maxx quite often have size 4 clothing and smaller0
