Just applied for this, got £5 per month, I wonder if we could just cancel the policy after we've got the Am voucher, unless the insurance is actually needed of course.

And I love Nero hot chocs!! :j

Have you managed to register on the myaviva app successfully?

I was getting nowhere so I messaged them via their FB page and the tech guys had to manually "push" it and finally I have registered this morning. ive logged out and logged in and all seems to be fine.

Ive been using the main computer - phone has gone walkabout somewhere in the house - but hopefully it should be the same

I'm going to have a female related rant before I go to bed. .....

Maybe it is as simple as saying: You had treatment. It worked. Be happy!:)

    politics. Scottish nationalists.....

I've never forgiven the LibDems for going back on their promise on student tuition fees and the SNP not charging for their own students or EU nationals but charging the rest of UK is also disgusting.

My kids had to take on massive student debt, the younger one is charged an outrageous interest rate of 5.5%.

Luckily we will be away just before the election, so miss a lot of the news.

    how have your 2 done?

My youngest was so fed up, such a long day from 8.30 to 5.30 with only half an hour for lunch but I think yesterday he got into the swing of things. There are 7 on the course and they are all talking to each other now - brothers in adversity.
The others moan about the coldness of the water- youngest says that is nothing, I have to hurl myself into Ullswater every Monday, that is proper cold :rotfl:
The exam bit is 3 hours on Saturday afternoon - very annoying. We are picking him up afterwards so he can get his train homeward - so he is going to be knackered by Saturday night - 3 hours exam and 2 hours on the train.

He also says they have to do 20 hours a year or have to re do the entire course in 2 years time. Is this the same for yours?

Both my two have done a lifeguarding course this week mhoc. Am a bit hacked off as it was supposed to be Tuesday - Saturday 9-5 each day with the exam on Saturday afternoon. However, the pool was somehow double booked on Saturday, so there is no replacement for the Saturday hours, and exam was rearranged for today (which DS can't do as he is working and already booked the week off for the course) or tomorrow, which my two are going to do with one other.

If they pass then great, I won't say anything. However, if they fail, I will be having words, as I will not be expecting to pay for another exam after they have effectively missed a day of training due to the pool being double booked. Fingers crossed it all goes well and I wont have to start complaining. :o

The country is run by a clique of Eton boys who are into politics purely and solely for what they can get out of it.

Forget all the pretence of living in a democracy. Convicts are not even allowed to vote for anyone. How dark-age is that?!!!

I'm off too. OH is moving to a rehabilitation centre this weekend so going to assist with his packing and stuff.

I might stop off and buy some tomato plants on the way home. None of my tomato seeds have made an appearance yet :( very slow this year.

    Have a good day all

will this be closer to you or even further away?

Will you be around for the actual move?

When eldest childs BFs mum was moved to a rehab centre it was just a building next door to the hospital. But regulations stipulated that she had to be taken by ambulance even though the family could just have popped her into a wheelchair and trundled her across :)

People that have done something serious enough to end up in jail should lose many more rights than they already do. Why should you have the chance to vote on who runs the country when you won't get out to see what happens.

In many countries in Africa if you break into someone's house for example you lose all rights and they can shoot you, and often do.

Look at this fabulous handbag we found yesterday.

It was given to Mrs Fourp from her sister in Canada when she was a teenager

    op32fr.jpg

and worth quite a bit of money-I have a few different colourways, lucite/bakelite. 1950's see if it says Wilardy. I think they are works of art, I just love them. There used to be a shop in New York that just had these-I think it was more of a hobby shop for some 5th avenue princess..but I loved going in and looking...
    Its beautiful, really beautiful.

Right I am off in search of the mobile - its somewhere in the house although goodness knows where ...

I thought about St. Anthony, patron saint of lost things and found this prayer - think I might print it off as I always seem to be in search of something :D

    O blessed St. Anthony,
the grace of God has made you a powerful advocate
in all our needs and the patron
for the restoring of things lost or stolen.
I turn to you today with childlike love and deep confidence.
You have helped countless children of God
to find the things they have lost,
    material things, and, more importantly,
the things of the spirit: faith, hope, and love.
    I come to you with confidence;
help me in my present need.
I recommend what I have lost to your care,
in the hope that God will restore it to me,
if it is His holy Will
