  • Aaaaaagh! Windows updates!!! Updated last night without informing me it was. This morning it just hung. Came back this afternoon & it was at 35% then went to failure, do not turn off your PC. It's turned itself off at least 3 times, keeps coming back to configuring windows, then update failed then turning off & doing the same again. FINALLY it's let me on.

Do I turn off now OR try never to turn off again? I have to go to A's in 20mins & guess there are now no glitches & I have my one and only £10 APG that is nearly OOD. I'll be away for over an hour, Turn off or leave on?

Thinking about it, the update must have been done sometime between 8.50 am & 10.30am when I did mine. Others have reported success up to 8.50am so I guess I was just unlucky or 9am is the time to beat?

I could be wrong but it's my firm belief that the problem is the time you shopped, not the time you checked. I checked my post this morning which was at 12:21pm. I had checked my APGs immediately before that post and everything worked. They were for 3 shops, 2 done around 6pm and one for cereal bars done around 8pm.

You should have been safe with that early morning but something went wrong unfortunately but I don't think checking your receipt earlier would have changed anything.
