Evening, if anyone has access to COSCO then they have 1596.97ml coconut oil for £12.?? which is a good price. I remember there was a lot of talk about it a few threads back. Cheers:)

    Overpriced rubbish

Coconut oil is full of these artery-busting long-chain varieties by the sheer fact that there’s such a huge percentage of saturated fat, 92%, packed into coconut oil to begin with.

Ounce for ounce, coconut oil has more saturated fat than butter, beef tallow, or lard. “So coconut oil raises LDL cholesterol as much – or more – than animal fats,” cautions Dr. Kenney.

Natural coconut oil is made of 90 percent saturated fat (butter, a distant second, contains a comparatively puny 64 percent saturated fat)

Didn't they say on Jamie Oliver's programme that the smaller eggs are much nicer? I think they called them pullet eggs :)

I've heard them called pullet eggs :) Apparently there are people who prefer them to regular sized ones. This chicken keeping malarkey is an education :D
How about calling the police and giving an anonymous tip-off that they keep drugs in their doors :D

    Fab idea :T:T

Speaking from experience, that is the worst coconut oil ever. That phrase 'if it's too good to be true it probably is' springs to mind regarding this. Being refined means it doesn't have the coconut taste or scent so if anyone wants to buy it specifically for the scent or taste then this is useless. It also tasted expired way before the expiry date for me after only a week. Gave me stomach pain for a few days.

Personally, I prefer the unrefined organic kind. Costs more, but tastes and smells great and great for the skin and hair too. I'm pretty sure the Costco one was unrefined and organic which is what makes it such good value at £12. I haven't bought any from there because I usually save apgs and amazon vouchers for that.
