Evening, how are we all?
Pinned Mr TS down to go over manor and put new awning up today but firstly he forgot the pole diagram he laminated at work this morning. So off I go to farmhouse to see if they would mind googling and printing one off. So we get it out the car and open it up and he suddenly says have I got a mallet.
I just assumed it would be in caravan locker still but no, so back awning goes in car and comes home with us.
Seems like have a leak somewhere too so relaxing country retreat is turning into a nightmare at the moment.Phoned to book a service and didn't realise how booked up these people get. Such a newbie. :rotfl:
Anyway Mr TS got me to order some mastic sealant tape and sikaflex as he is confident water getting in rail on top of caravan. So we may become experts yet.
Rant over David.

That is so nice to hear you have fond memories of this nursery rhyme after all the upset you have had, I hope it brought a smile to your face.:)
You are anxious and the wait 'til june will make you more anxious, but you are a strong person on here and im sure you are in RL. It seems your OH believes in you supports you and has backed you up, therefore this so called 'boss' who said from the beginning they didn't have a problem with you and your outspokenness should not call herself a boss- she needs to go on a people management course so she can treat her work colleagues with dignity and respect. You need to believe in yourself, yes you have had several jobs, but to have the confidence to go to new places and to even try to fit in in a new work place takes guts and determination.
So therefore you miss Evangeline start off by yourself with your cleaning, take it slowly, find a couple of friendly clients to start with when you get on the first rung of the ladder you will be surprised at how many people want someone trustworthy and capable, the older generation are always in need of help, you could find it very satisfying, you could pick and choose who you wanted to work for, you could choose how long you wanted to work each day and what days you wanted off.
This will be your former bosses loss but your gain, you are brimming over with confidence but just need a little advise and steering in the right direction for you. weigh up the pros and cons and go for it- (but do it all above board if you go it alone):)0 -
Mr TS wanted some chocolate tonight and has found some bucks fizz truffles that I got in Sainsbobs after xmas 2013.
He says they are nearly year OOD. I will let him be guinea pig.
Difficult to tell if mouldy at all (and they have been out in the garage) as they are covered in a gold dust coating. :rotfl:

I talked late last year about my eye problems and the eye fiddling thing isn't something I find pleasant at all
so you have my utmost sympathy.
On the plus side. You know what the problem is and the track record for successful cataract ops is fantastic! not that it makes the procedure any less scary!
I'm stuck at knowing I have a blind spot in my peripheral vision but not why yet. More tests and drops needed. I'm finally understanding that my need to 'manually adjust' my vision has an explanation somewhereMy right eye must hate my left because it's doing all the work :rotfl::rotfl:
Yours must be opposite to mine.My left eye is doing all the work.I have a huge chunk of missing vision in my right due to glaucoma. The drops are keeping the pressure down though.I was born with a twisted optic nerve so my eyes have always been unbalanced.I am trying to convince myself that the op can't be worse than having a filling or tooth out.0 -

I have been told often that I'm blunt and abrupt and that I misunderstand people
I've always had problems in the workplace and lost count now of how many jobs I've had but it's definitely more than 50, probably more like 60-70 in my 28 year working life
I will definitely ask for help once I'm diagnosed, I go back for my second assessment in June
Edit: forgot to say as well that I was considering going it alone but now don't feel confident of my ability because of how I've been criticisedI will rethink this again though when I'm in a better frame of mind
She owns it but OH has been on the phone to her HR woman and insisted I get reimbursed for petrol, travel time and cleaning products. It seems like they may have to pay me as it's the law as OH has threatened legal action and to inform the powers that be that the company is breaking the law. Fingers crossed, I have to put it in writing and we'll see what happens but they have pretty much agreed that I'm owed £55 anyway
I'm glad I didn't offend you. It's one of my future worries for DS2......I sometimes think he will need a saint to employ him
As someone who employs a cleaner, I'd urge you to at least consider it. It's much easier to build up a good employer/employee relationship without a middle man. It might also do your confidence the world of good if you can make a success of it.
Most importantly, you have been signed off for a reason. Use the time to get yourself right. Or glitch.......whatever works for you0 -

Hi Tinyshoes
have you tried captain tullys creeping crack cure I kid you not it is a real product and I have used it several times to cure leaks in sunroof and boat windows
Thanks very much for the tip cang.
That was one of the products OH found online, but after researching he decided we need to remove the rail and use the two products I have ordered from successful repairs to caravans similar to ours, seems it is a known fault.
He used to do glass fibre work so he has a bit of knowledge and often gets called on to repair boats so I think, well hopefully he knows what he is doing.
Not actually sure if it is historical damage I have found in one of the top lockers but don't remember it being bubbled on the inside last year. I know my friend got it repaired under warranty for a leaky window, maybe it wasn't the window.
Fingers crossed we can get it sorted without anymore damage and that if it is damp it will dry out ok without needing structural repair!0
