I have just done my APG which was over £50 big miscalculation but I am sure when it flicked it said £20 would be sent to my account - maybe they are capping them - anyone else had this ??

I can't go back and see it now

    Just a quickie ;)

Realised my Buildings and contents insurance has just expired, went through the usual MSE checks http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/insurance/home-insurance
In Step 2 Together Mutual Insurance quoted me £94.96 and you get £80 M&S vouchers after approx 80 days, expires 30 April. A net £14.96 for insurance :money:

Hopefully Redfox won't class this as a referral, as I am using link to MSE

OH came home. Seen the calf. He's really upset blaming himself because he wasn't on the farm today. He would normally have moved mother and calf into a different shed so they would have more room (actually they are normally out in the fields by now but it's been to wet). The calf was so large me and his Mam could barely move it (it was in the alley where they all walk). He can't not leave the farm for 2-3 months whilst we are lambing/calving but he still thinks it's his fault so he's all grumpy now.

So sorry about the calf miss c. Its so hard espeacily when there seems no reason. but i am sure your oh being a farmer is used to the lose and will put it behind him pretty quickly as you say he cant always be on the farm over lambing and calving. hope things start looking up on the farm as i remember you had a shaky start to lambing x x

Oh, surprise, the receipt with "A's lowest price" items does offer a return. Wait for it...

    ...of eight pence:(.

Obviously SP Ham is best vs T (even though it adjusts T's price upwards due to weight) but really blame S for, firstly, increasing its price:( and then no longer selling their version:(:(. The highlight here is that SP Lemon Curd is comparing vs M at 22p. SP Cornish Pasty (which is actually Minced Beef & Vegetable Pasty) is of course an Avs T item.

Price increase on Pork & Egg Roll so A's vs M comparison looks good but in fact costs more than before in straight A. Avoid. BM Turkey Slices are twice the cost:eek: of what I'd even consider, so they are still overpaying IMO even after 8p. SP Madeira Cake went up in price some years ago.

The 'discount' receipt is obviously no use either - and the Magnum 3 pack at £2.25 does not even appear on the APG, so keep in view in the unlikely(?) event that this becomes of any use: BC 8712566 33194.
  • Lambing is almost over now thankfully. About another 20 sheep. Bottlefeeding about 6 lambs atm. They follow DS around like puppies.

We have named the 1st lamb born Uno. She's still the smallest lamb we've got and is almost blind, her eyes are opaque but she follows DS apart from when he accidently walks into the shade she stops following him and cries until she can see him again. Shes going to stay down with us and be a pet.
