but it wasn't the sombre trip I expected. it was actually very uplifting. We had fun, lots of laughter, a few tears and quite a lot of nostalgia for me. And most surprisingly a big insight into my younger life for my DD.....no bad thing because it stopped her being a brat momentarily
some sadness because he is probably the last 'strong' link I have to any family except my own children so that's sadI don't have any family so when memories die ( and they've been rapid lately :eek:) it is a bit poignant
I'll just say I'm knackered but I'm glad I did it.Thanks Hillbern :A

I remember coming back from Euro Disney when DS was younger. We caught the ferry back from Calais to Dover and there was a shop in Calais that sold Belgium chocs and they where lush. Time after when we went we saved money for more chocs coming home and looked for shop and it had shut me and DS not happy
Oh tweets I remember that shop well:D

So much for being discreet...those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind.

There's a fork in the road, which way will you go
You standing still or will you step into the great unknown,
Is yours to decide, this is your life.

My DS1 has just got in....and at a respectable time too. So I'm off to catch up with him.
My friend gave me some very thoughtful keepsakes to give to the kids :A not valuable things. Things that will make them smile when they look at them :A what a truly interesting and exceptional person he is.
I already admitted to someone when I was a youngster I had a MAJOR crush on himit was a uniform thing I think
happily these days we were well over it and friends like him are becoming rare in my life
(hopes he leaves me a uniformed photo as a keepsake
)
