I was hoping to dust and vacuum tidy homes that get cleaned weekly
I remind myself that at least I'm away from my horrible ex boss, no job could be worse than being around her. It will be quieter next week as Passover starts. It seems some of these people only get their houses cleaned once a year then be minging until next Passover  I hope I don't come across as racist as not saying they're all like this, some of the houses are lovely but most are filthy and cluttered. Like the rest of us some will be clean and tidy and others scruffy, I guess the tidy ones don't need me as much as the scruffy ones do
At least you get job satisfactionA job well done, and seen to be well done

Aww I feel for you Evan. I clean 2 tidy homes and as it's regular they don't get dirty. Just think of the glitching freedom you have more of now xxCherish those you have in your life because you never know when they won't be there anymore.

I would see this as a business opportunity - start your own cleaning business up and offer your clients a weekly or monthly deep clean service :T
I am wondering is it like the pre Christmas big clean up - is it a cultural thing or is it just a status thing - to be able to get cleaners in?“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
Morning all - terrible stormy winds still continuing here, my nerves are wrecked, all cats are home so I am taking my cue from them.
I went and got my 2 aldi eggs last night for TCB and after a bit if a struggle the receipts uploaded and still showing as pending this morning. We are not expecting any offspring over the weekend although eldest son might honour us with a visit en route to jazz festival“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -

I have thought about starting up on my own however I'm worried that if I clean for non Jewish people I may encounter similar problems I've had in the past at work :undecided Because of my ASD I'm not very good at social conversation and sometimes can come across a bit strangeThe Jewish people I've met mostly don't chit chat and I feel comfortable that they won't notice my strangeness whereas ordinary people who are confident and outgoing do notice it so I would worry about that. Maybe non Jewish people would want to chat more and that worries me or maybe I'm worry for nothing and they wouldn't anyway
I do feel that I've gained a lot from this job though and learned more cleaning skills. Also it's a confidence boost that some clients asked for me back and told my boss I was polite and honest :cool:0 -

Don't think it's anything to do with religion tbh, people are either chatty or not chatty! A lot of the people I know that have cleaners generally leave them to it, one or two even think it is beneath them to talk to them, and to anyone that they pay to do things (we have our own business), and yet the one of the richest ones (just sold house for around £10 million and bought a smaller house {used to belong to a member of an old pop group and had two recording studios} while they build a bigger house than they had before) are as nice as pie to everyone they pay and even have a catered Christmas party for us all each year! They mostly leave us to it though

Yes its something to think about, you could just specialise in doing Jewish homes - they have numerous special religious days and family events in the year and you would only need 3 or 4 regular clients“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
Morning luvlies, blowing a gale here. Woke up to find patio furniture strewn across the garden  doesn't seem to have died down since last night.
FC, have a safe journey I hear some flights are delayed due to the high winds so hope yours gets off ok.
Scamps, so glad Cassie has a little play mate. Will be great company for each other:happylove Nanny to 2 Cherubs :happylove0 -
Think we missed this last night
. Saw on hukd earlier that T were doing some deos for £1 and also 2 for 1, this appears to have been corrected on T site as are priced at £2. However the deal is showing as £1 and 2 for 1 on MSM but this morning's prices are probably to early to compare if buying in A to get an APG
Deal on the dark side now showing as expired
http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/nivea-antiperspirant-deodorants-sprays-roll-ons-1-each-buy-one-get-one-free-tesco-2176016
Linky to MSM

Off out shopping now so will look in later
EDIT: THIS WON'T WORK AS ONE ITEM PRICED AT £2 IN T - thanks to PK04 for pointing it out, I didn't check the prices very well:happylove Nanny to 2 Cherubs :happylove0
