Hi all. Feeling really tired this week and like I've got a million things to do. The landlord of the flat I am leaving is being a pain and making my life difficult this week, which I could do without, and the flat is a mess as we organise and start boxing things up. I've got friends staying over tomorrow night and work to do tonight which has to be completed by morning. Have made a very quick dinner, sorted out breakfast and lunch for tomorrow, washed the pots. Still to do: work, make up the guest room, put the laundry away, wash my hair. And watch Masterchef! Looks like a late night for me and an early start tomorrow. I'm visiting family this weekend which will be lovely, but it means no lie-in!

As the weather is getting warmer now I decided it was time to buy some lightweight work shirts, so have ordered a stack from ASOS, will hopefully keep and couple and send back the rest. I feel less guilty about this spending since I have extra cash coming in this month, plus I have cleared a lot of old clothing out of the wardrobe. Every time I think I have shifted / ebayed everything, I go over it again and decide there is still more that can go. I wish I could fit my whole life in a couple of suitcases, but sadly am nowhere near that point yet!

Have been a bit slack about posting lately, all I have wanted to do is sleep! But it's a beautiful day and I have got nice things planned so time to get up and get things done. First on my list is updating my diary.

So on the MSE front things have not been brilliant, I am waiting for some cash to come in and it is taking longer than expected to I am into my overdraft with still 10 days to go until payday. Have had to shell out an extra week's rent payment because of the timings of our move, plus final bills on the old flat are a little more than I had budgeted for, and I booked our return flights for our holiday on the wrong day! ARGH! It's cheaper to book new ones with the same airline than to change the dates (why do airlines do that??) so that's another £100 for a stupid mistake.

Sent back all the ASOS stuff because it all looked horrid, maybe I am a different shape to the majority of women? Bought a couple of nice summery work tops from H&M instead, at least I know they fit as have tried them on. I think buying a few summer work wardrobe staples is a legitimate expense but still feeling a bit guilty about spending the money.

Cashed out £50 on Yougov so that should come through in the next few weeks. Seem to have got a non-paying buyer on eBay which is annoying as i got a decent price for the item in the auction. How long should I wait before cancelling her win and relisting? tomorrow it will have been a week since auction.

Today I have reached my sober personal best, have gone one day longer than my last stretch, long may it continue. Some pangs experienced due to people drinking white wine in the sunshine outside pubs, however.

Meeting a friend for lunch and museum trip today, and going to the gym this morning. Have put on a lot of weight lately by replacing wine with sugary treats and it really has to stop, I feel horrible. Have instructed boyfriend to stop buying ice cream, which will be a good start.

Hi Jackie! Sitting here surrounded by boxes as we speak! Yes, moving is a pain in the butt but hey, it's gotta be done. I'm getting there now at least.
Not doing brilliantly on the MSE front these last couple of weeks, budget for May is as tight as a gnat's chuff. But my savings pot is going up so that's good. I've booked a month's training with a personal trainer to try to whip me in to shape for the summer - it's a bit of an indulgence but at least it's spending on something which is good for me. Will involve exercising outside as well which will be lovely if the sun comes out again. Still sober and feeling good about it, getting a lot more done lately although struggling a bit with anxiety and stress, and attendant headaches, probably due to the house move. Exercise will hopefully help with this.
