Best as in Best - that least charges for transactions, cards etc!
This will be a large one off deposit but then used on a fairly regular basis when we visit the continent0 -
I have a French account with http://www.britline.com/ (customer service in English and my UK address on file). The basic account with a cheque book but without cards costs €0.60 per month, but cards cost €40 / year or so and there are various charges such as for using other banks' ATMs.
There were a couple of German banks offering free accounts to UK residents, but they appear to have stopped doing so now. I'm not aware of any free options.Let's settle this like gentlemen: armed with heavy sticks
On a rotating plate, with spikes like Flash Gordon
