6.8.07 what small dfw/mse thing will you do or have you done today?

Good Morning fellow DFW Peeps and welcome old timers and newbies alike :hello:

Welcome to a new week

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging the washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.

So, today I will:
  • check online banking and update spreadsheet
  • do a meal plan based on storecupboard ingredients
  • do some baking for kids packed lunch boxes (they are at sport camp this week so need high energy food)
  • have an appointment with a blinds rep - just to get quidco cashback
  • do piggy clicks and surveys
  • take coffee to karate tonight to avoid spending in Costa Coffee
  • not use the car unnecessarily
  • not increase my debt in any way
  • be positive!
I hope everyone has a good day xx

Errr.. Hypno... you're 11 months ahead of the rest of us ;)

Today I have - brought lunch etc in from home.
And I will be - looking at some studying/ training courses options, which might cost me some money (some free via work though :T ) but hopefully will pay off in the long run!

    Think that's about it!

Ooh, If I am 11 months ahead of myself, that means one of my loans has just ended and I can snowball the money :rotfl: Better see if I can amend the date - talk about wishing your life away!!

    Mortgage-free Glee!
Today I hope to dry two loads outside (despite the clouds gathering!) - if it does rain then I'll take the time to set up the clothes airer in the conservatory and do it that way.
I'm paying in two cheques to my account - and NOT visiting the shops while I'm in town.
Not much, but better than nothing.

Today i am going to see if paying of my loans will give me any money back, and will it be better in the long run instead of paying a cc off (will save 200 per month instead of 60 so seems to make some sense) then i will be making a new claim with dss/ctc for my newly single status.................then not very money saving i am going to buy a hair dye i wanna be blonde again instead of mousey. xx
