Second income for mortgage application

Hello,
I am in the process of remortgaging one house and paying off the sum owed on another house, the valuation happened last week and should come back fine. At the time of applying my broker thought my salary will cover the amount I want to borrow, but unfortunatly this was not the case and the lender is not willing to lend the full amount I need.
I have found a part time permanent job last week which if this was added on as my income will cover the amount I need to borrow, is it possible to add this new income on now and let the lender know that I have found a new job or am I too late?, getting a reference from the new employer will not be a problem either
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks

You should be ok with some lenders if you send in refence from employer but it depends on the lenderI like to give people as many choices as possible to do what I want them to. (Milton H Erickson I think)0

The lender is halifax and I have been told that they would normally want 6 months of employment atleast, Is this true or is the best way of finding out by asking them?0
